Verarbeitung & Lüfter

Verarbeitung

Unsere Testmuster misst 146x159x115 mm (B x H x T; mit Lüfter) und bringt mit Lüfter 882 Gramm auf die Waage.

Der Kühlturm wird von einer türkisfarbenen Abdeckung aus Kunststoff versteckt. Dieses ins Auge springende Element wird für die Montage (Lüfter und Kühler selbst) benötigt. Nach außen hin ist die Abdeckung leicht abgestuft, was für eine bessere Arbeitsspeicher-Kompatibilität sorgt. Der silberne Kühlkörper besitzt fünf sechs Millimeter dicke Doppel-Heatpipes, die optimal positioniert sind, um die CPU-Abwärme effektiv an die zahlreichen Aluminiumlamellen abzuleiten (max. TDP: 200 Watt).

Der Boden wurde aus Kupfer gefertigt und wird mit einer Nickelschicht geschützt. Verarbeitungsmängel konnten wir an unserem Testmuster nicht feststellen.

Lüfter

Der mitgelieferte 120-mm-Lüfter ist ein PWM-Modell, der laut Iceberg Thermal mit 500 - 1.850 U/min (128.44m³/h, 75.59 CFM, 2.8mmH₂O) arbeitet. Die maximale Lautstärke liegt bei 36 db(A).

Der Lüfter besitzt auch eine anpassbare RGB-Beleuchtung und Start-/Stopp-Mechanik (wenn der Lüfter ausgeschaltet ist, bleibt er stumm, bis der PWM-Arbeitszyklus eine Auslastung von 21 % erreicht).

Montage & Preis

Unser Testmuster verzichtet auf ein Pushpin-Montagesystem - stattdessen kommt ein Schraub-System zum Einsatz, welches eine sichere Lösung darstellt. Die Installation auf einer AMD Sockel AM4/AM5 Hauptplatine läuft wie folgt ab:

Der mitgelieferte Lüfter wird mittels der Kunststoffabdeckung befestigt. Die Montage nimmt knapp 25 Minuten in Anspruch.

Kompatibel ist der Kühler zu allen gängigen Sockeln von AMD und Intel (AM5, AM4, AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+, FM1/FM2/FM2+ // 2011-0/2011-1/2011-3/2066, 1700, 1356/1366, 1150/1151/1155/1156/1200, 775).
